The right

If you are the artist a page here is about, you can have it taken down.

You do not have to give a reason, claim the page first, or prove anything to our satisfaction. Nobody will counter-offer and nobody will ask you to reconsider.

This right is written into the terms as the last clause of how your page was built, and into the privacy policy as an objection we do not weigh against anything. It does not run out, and nothing you do on this site signs it away.

You are not charged for being listed and you are not charged for leaving. There is nothing on this site for sale, to you or to anybody else.

How to ask

Write to [email protected] and say which handle to take down. That is the whole request. One line is enough.

We ask nothing about why. There is one thing we do check, and only one: that the request is coming from the artist and not from somebody trying to erase a rival. Writing from the email address on the Instagram account, or sending a message from that handle, is the quickest way past it. If you can do neither, say so and we work it out with you rather than leaving the page up while we wait.

We answer the same day we read it. We aim to have the page gone inside seven days, and we write back when it is done rather than leaving you to keep checking.

What comes down

   The page.

   stabme.ink/artist/your-handle/ stops being built. The old address then points at a short notice saying the page was taken down at the artist's request, so a link somebody saved does not read as a broken website.

   The photographs.

   Every copy of your work we hold on our own servers, the resized versions we made from them, and the share image built for your page.

   The roster entry.

   Your entry in the roster file every page on this site is built from. That is what takes you out of the artist index on /find/, out of the style pages and out of the region page in the same build, instead of leaving your name behind in a list with a dead link on it.

   Search and AI index files.

   Your page leaves /sitemap.xml, your photographs leave /sitemap-images.xml, and the counts in /llms.txt and /llms-full.txt are written again without you. Those are the files AI assistants read, so this is the part that decides what gets said about you later.

   The account, if you claimed the page.

   Profile, photographs, links, conventions, guest spots, store, and the calendar connection with it. The account itself goes too if you want it gone. Say so in the same message and you do not have to ask twice.

   The other sites.

   stabme.ink is one of several directory sites run by the same person, and one roster feeds more than one of them. A single message takes you off all of them. You do not have to write to each site and you do not have to work out which ones you are on.

One limit, said out loud rather than left for you to find. Nothing in the build stops a later pull from finding your public account again and listing you a second time. Today that is a person keeping a list, not a machine enforcing one. If you turn up here again after asking to be removed, that is our failure and not your problem, and telling us a second time does not cost you a second explanation.

What we cannot reach

Taking a page down takes it off this site. It does not reach into the rest of the internet.

• Search engines. Google and Bing hold their own copy until they crawl the address again and find it gone. We ask them to drop it, and asking is the whole of what we can do. The timing is theirs.
• Assistants. Anything an AI assistant read while the page was up can sit in an answer it gives later, or in a model that was trained on it. There is no address to write to about that, for us or for you.
• Archives. The Internet Archive and services like it copy pages without asking us. They run their own removal process and it is not ours to run for you.
• Other people. Screenshots, reposts, copies and quotes made by anybody who saw the page while it was up. Nothing gives us a way to take those back.
• Requests already sent. If a client sent you a booking request, that email is in your mailbox and in ours. We delete our copy. We cannot reach into somebody else's mailbox and we will not pretend otherwise.

We can stop publishing you, quickly and without an argument. We cannot unpublish you from other people's records, and we do not promise it.

Wrong details, not you, or somebody using the name

Three different problems. One address, and they are not all the same size.

   The details are wrong.

   Wrong city, wrong style, wrong name, or work on the page that is not yours. Tell us which and we fix it the same day we read it, or take the page down instead if that is what you would rather have. The style we list you under is our reading of your published work and not a statement you made about yourself, and it is the thing we get wrong most often.

2. 002
   This is not you.

   Work that is not yours under your handle, or your own work under a name that is not yours. Say so and the page comes down while it is being sorted out, rather than after.

3. 003
   Somebody is holding themselves out as this artist.

   A claimed page that turns out not to belong to the artist comes down the day we learn of it, the account is closed, and we write to every client who sent a request through it. We do that ourselves rather than posting a notice and hoping.

What we do not promise is prevention. Nobody running a website can promise that and mean it. What we promise is the part we control: a person reads it rather than a queue, and we move the same day.

One more thing worth knowing while you are on this page. stabme.ink never asks anybody for money, and the artist contacts the client directly about any deposit. Anybody claiming to be from stabme.ink and asking a client to pay is a scam, and it is worth telling us at the same address.
